Students Speak – Are We Listening?
Arleen Arnsparger, Project Manager of the Center’s Initiative on Student Success and co-author of the Center’s first book, Students Speak – Are We Listening? Starting Right in the Community College, will present an engaging lunchtime plenary session sharing highlights from the book and companion DVD.

By bringing forth student voices, Arleen will demonstrate how community college practitioners can better understand student goals and expectations, students’ sense of their own readiness for college, their concerns as they begin college, and how their college experiences help shape their success or lack of it.

The Strengthening Student Engagement Workshop will take place on Monday, June 17, 2013, 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., at Johnson County Community College’s Capitol Federal Conference Center and Atrium in Overland Park, Kansas.
